Vamana is strictly contraindicated for children, the elderly, pregnant women, and individuals suffering from acute heart disease, severe hypertension, extreme emaciation, or active gastric ulcers. A thorough pulse diagnosis (Nadi Pariksha) by a clinical Vaidya is mandatory for clearance.
